Ok I'm getting ready to refresh my 3.2.
I want to remove the hood to make things easier.
Should I remove the hood from the hinges or leave the hood attached to them and remove the hinges from the car?

Thx guys

i just took mine off and left the hinges on the car...just took the 4 bolts out of the hood itself, detached the support struts, and disconnected the wire for the light...fairly straightforward...but easier, i think, than taking the hinges all the way off.

An easy way to make sure you get it back in the correct location is to drill a small hole through the hinge and the hinge mount on the hood before you take it apart on both sides (make sure to not drill all the way through the outside). Now when you go to put the hood back on you can just stick a small nail in the holes and it will be aligned perfectly.

Black permanent marker lines work well, and won't leave a rusting hole in your hood.
