Hi - I have a 94 MTX with about 150K. Recently, the water pump belt tensioner is contacting the battery, burning a hole through the cell, and dumping acid all over the front of my 3.0. I have checked the Front mount, which was replaced with SHO Shop reinforced mount about a year ago. I also checked the rear and transaxle mounts - I dont see anything obvious. The battery tray is intact and mounted, and I have had this battery for about 6 years with no problems. If the engine is not moving - maybe a problem with the subframe? Anybody come across this problem - any idea(s) would be appreciated.
