I've done my research on here and it looks like I need either a new DS strut or a new DS cv shaft. However, my issue doesn't perfectly match anything I've found in a thread so I thought I'd ask for advice from people who know a whole lot more than I do :) I can fix but I can't diagnose.

There's a front end vibration from the Driver's side under any acceleration. Not much difference in magnitude between medium and hard accel. It's always there, but less so if accelerating VERY slowly. Coasting, maintaining speed, and braking are all smooth, straight, perfect. Acceleration is also straight and true, just wobbly. Going around a right hand sweeper I can mash the gas as hard as I want and it's perfectly smooth. Left hand corner, same thing, there's a sliiiight hint of vibration but nowhere near what it is when I return the wheel to straight.

The car has the following brand new this week:

PS:
cv, bearing, hub, lca/ball joint

DS:
lca/ball joint, inner and outer tie rods

There's play in the DS bearing only when the axle nut is loose, and it is quite tight now. With everything buttoned up, there's no play in the wheel, certainly not at 6 and 12 o'clock.

I aligned it myself, about 1.5* total toe in right now, need to fix that this evening but given the right/left difference and vibration only coming from one side, I wouldn't think that is the culprit.

All lug nuts are tight, have not tried switching left and right front tires yet. Will do that this evening, but it doesn't seem like a shifted belt or out of round tire/wheel since it's only when accelerating.

It *did* do this before I started working on it, since I got it titled a few weeks ago. Failed inspection for all of the above new parts, makes me think the inspector attributed the vibration to that list (all of which were in need of replacement, I did the work myself) and missed the real source of the vibration.

Any input appreciated!
