Hey Guys

I am a new owner of a 97 SHO and I literally just got it registered today. The vehicle needs a few things but nothing I cant handle since I am a mechanic by trade. I know about the cam issue but I will need to wait to have the cams welded since all my money is blown getting the car plus Im buying new tires. I saw that some of you also delete the 3rd cat(the flex pipe is leaking as well) and since I live in NH and they do emissions testing I was wondering if any of you have had a issue with getting it inspected.

Welcome in, i'm about 4 hours away from you but damn I love that ZEB's general store up there. and that Kangamangus highway is a fun drive as well. I'm not a Gen III owner so I can't really help you as much as the other guys can, but congrats on the new ride!!

Never once had a problem. Sniff test will pass no problem with the two cats on the Y. Only thing is if they are a stickler with the visual and know there was a third cat. Again, I never had an issue with 3rd cat delete and flowmaster mufflers.

thanks for the welcome and info..... lol I live right around the corner from ZEB'S. One other question I just notice I dont see an engine that comes on when turning the key on... theres got to be one on these cars right.

yes the engine light should come one when you start the car so either a) the bulb burnt out(highly unlikely) or b) someone removed it because it was on and they didnt want to bother fixing whatever codes there were. Only reason I say this is because I bought a 98 SHO and when I went to do emissions, was told that my engine light wasnt coming on when started up, I pulled the dash and sure enough the bulb was missing, installed a bulb and presto the check engine light stayed on, pulled the code , fixed the issue and passed emissions no problem.

Yeah I agree with ya...I think someone pulled the bulb.... oh well I will hook up my scanner tomorrow.

Replaced the Airpump today and fixed my engine code....my god that was a pain in the azz but I got it
