sputtering, like i'm losing power

its kinda funny, sometimes i drive my SHO and it will like sputter and the check engine light comes on, and then when i accelerate, most of them times past 3K, the sputtering stops and the engine light goes out. but sometimes the procedure will occur again for another 5 minutes and then car drives fine. does that happen to anyone? i know the cam sensor was changed recently, i don't know

Try putting your original MAF back in.......................bet you'll loose the sputtering!!!! I had simmilar problems with my 73mm maf, put the 55 back in, and it ran like a champ. The 73 mm maf is great at high rpm's, but sometimes below 3k it will run choppy.......................also, check your codes. Good luck!

Yup. Your computer stores a code every time your check engine light comes on.

Not only does it store codes, but it will give you hard faults too.
