Hennessey upgrades for 2010

Dont know if any know, but was surfing around and saw on the Hennessey website that it looks like there are going to be working on aftermark parts for the new car. Boost controllers, larger turbos, suspension, guess all the normal stuff, prob at a nice price too. Just and FYI you all you guys that have the new car.

A few years ago, there was a lot of mainstream publicity, led by a Car and Driver article, about a Viper owner who sent his car for the full Hennessy treatment, and after months of BS excuses, found that Hennessy had sold parts off his car but didn't have the parts he'd ordered, etc. Hennessy was found to be playing the old shell game, Ponzi-type schemes with his customers. Viper and Vette forums are full of stories about Hennessy ripping them off, not delivering what was ordered, bait'n'switch nonsense, shoddy workmanship when something was actually completed, and so on."

Yep, I got a little pissy about that when I heard it. I was involved with the release of this car for Ford since January and then someone called me about the Hennessey stuff. I called my contacts at Ford and said WTF!

They said that Hennessey did this by themselves and nothing to do with Ford. Thier first statement was that FORD was giving one before anyone was to get one.

After the release Vadim also stuck his nose in the game and he had several people voice thier oppinions and he wen away too.

The Internet is such a great tool!

Thats why you need to stick with the shoforum , you'll know where to buy your stuff. Specially that Kirk and his men are already on this for awhile , theres no reason to look anywhere else.

To be 100% honest with everyone here, the main reason I took my race SHO to the LSR race at Loring, Maine this year was to give Hennessey something to shoot for. He has shown up several times at Maxton with his cars just so that he could get brag'n rights to sell his stuff. I've seen them show up and run just "o.k.", respectable speeds. Then later on in the meet, turn up the boost way beyond "within reason", and run a really fast pass. When the Viper, Mustang, GT, etc ... would pull back into the pits; it would be hurt, most of the time, really bad. But low and behold, the next week on his website he would advertise the World's Fastest Viper (or what ever) ... and you can send your daily driver Viper (or what ever) to us and we can make it just as fast.

The truth is that while he can (could) get a lot of horsepower out of his "creations", they aren't reliable at those levels nor does he upgrade the supporting items.

So the bar is now set at 185 mph ......

agreed!!!! ill never bring my sho anywere but him he has done nothing but good for me and i have seen the time and effort he puts in to theres cars a performace parts first hand spending thousands of his own dollars to bring down the cost of prices and bring up the power, he doesnt seel a part that he hasnt eaither tried on his own vehical or one of his close friends vehicals first to make sure everything is perfect and worth while of doing
