Well me and nick (Slickn56) are toying with the idea or putting a turbo onto my SHO ( of course ) over the winter.
First off exhuast pipeing im not wurried about.
i dont want to run crazy boost ( 6-10 psi is enough )

questions.
(1) What are my turbo choices that would be good for what i want (300 hp +\- or so at the wheel) i have a 14B would that be good? or i can get my hands on a 16g also.
(2) Vacum lines where do they go to.
(3) Oil line for turbo, where should the hole be drilled.

besides those tid bits of info. I belive between the 2 of us we could handle the rest of it.

If i have any more questions. Ill be posting about them but for now thats all i can thin of that to EIA.

Would be interesting to see someone try something like the late 90's Saab's had on thier turbo V6's. Put a single turbo on the front bank of cylinders and size it right so that you could make 4-8psi of boost. Would give you loads of lowend TQ without needing amssive crazy piping under the hood.

I really like the way the turboshoprobe guy is doing his turbos. I WOULD so do that myself if I were going to turbo a SHO. 2 just sounds better when it comes to our tight engine bay, though an asmetrial setup could yield decne tnumbers if the right turbo was sized for 1.5 to 1.65L of exhaust gas.

Something that I'll have to think about this winter

I would not use a 14B. It is too small for the motor. T3/4 hybrids seem to be the turbo of choice in most peoples discussions here. Personally I would use a Turbonetics T66

There are so many t3/t4 hybrids, you'd have to know the AR and probably a map to know if it will work. FWIW, Toolmans car originally had a T3/T4 and it was supposedly way to small.

VERY true....

Also beware of cheap T3/T4s, there alot of china junk out there.
If your going to do it, buy a good name brand (Garret, Turbonetics, innovative, etc.) turbos...
Unless you like changing turbos every 2-500miles.

You're going to have vac going to your BOV and wastegate. Also you'll need to drill your oil pan on the bottom right for oil return, and you'll get oil from the back of the block (where the oil sensor screws in).
