Guys I ran the codes on my 93 ATX tonite and got back a code of 336 (Exhaust Backpressure High/ PFE Circuit Voltage High. I just replaced the EGR and the DPFE sensor about a week ago?!?! What does this mean?? Would this code make my car hesitate when cold and misfire horribly when warm at low rpms (ie when the car is idling or getting ready to shift out of OD)? Could this code also mean that my cats are clogged? TIA Don't know where I'd be without SHOforum!!

Since it is cold and flu season, you probably only need to blow your nose, er, ah, clean out your nostrils. Search on that common ailment of the EGR equipped SHOs. If you have not heard the catalytic converter "death rattle" or have engine power reductions at the higher rev ranges, then it is probably just the EGR passages plugged.

Scott now that ya mention it I did notice an odd sound in my mufflers. When I shake them there's a slight rattling sound in both tailpipes but no rattle up near the cats. I guess that means that it's time for new cats huh? Wanna talk about a power reduction--hmmm, I got STOMPED by my friends 1997 Grand Prix GT no supercharger(I looked), another friends Beretta Z26 :( with 3 people on board and a 01 Mustang 3.8 eek!
