on the trans is a sensor right on top what is this for it is broke and wire is not hooked up any info on this would be great

it's a mtx and the speedo works

It might be the vehicle speed sensor (vss).

There are a few wires sticking up vertically from the MTX, but more than likely it is the reverse lights.

I thought the VSS was only in the ATX. I might be wrong......
