great, can you recommend a good injector manufacturer for this application? Accell? Motorcraft?

I think the project will start off as an NA 3.2L swap and only after getting it sorted out smoothly will I boost it up so I guess I can hold off on the upgrades unless a sweet deal comes along.

Lightning 80mm MAf and Ford Motorsports 42lb lightnign injectors and pegged at 6800rpm.

400crank hp out of a V-6 is like 600hp out of a V-8.

Well, here's what I'll add.... Just to stir things up....

(42 / .45) x 6 = 560 hp MAX

(42 / .55) x 6 = 458 hp MAX

Either way, you shouldn't have been maxed out.

400 hp out of a V6 is more like 533 hp out of a V8.

(42 / .45) x 8 = 747 hp max

(42 / .55) x 8 = 611 hp max

who manufactures the injectors that I'll need to achieve 450+whp? I got that I need 48#ers but on fords website all I found were 42# or 150# and that seems a little excessive.

What I would do is search ebay or try to locate another source that still has the older 48 lb/hr injectors in stock.

Why not convert that to cc/min and see if any of RC's injectors will fit in a modified fuel rail and can get the corrrect caps on them? Here is the price list http://www.rceng.com/prices.htm. Shoot them an email and see if they can't work something out for you.

RC used to provide Sho Shop with the flow tested injector replacements for their customers. They should have info on hand somewhere to help you with your questions.:thumb:

Im in the same boat, please let me know if you find some good injectors.

Im making 420whp with 36lb injectors, so Im sure theyre maxed out. Im currently hunting for some older 48# Accels but who knows....

Just got the Tweecer RT today and a 90mm lightning MAF on the way, so Im eager to find some bigger injectors.

RC engineering. They have some 52's, 62's, and 72's. About $600 for the set. I will be getting some 62's for my next project.

The noted fuel consumption numbers from the worksheet @ RC's site seem to be a bit conservative. According to the table, the max HP that can be attained with a turbocharged engine and 47lb/hr injectors is 433bhp. Seeing as I hit 430WHP, and had a lot of fuel left on the table, I would venture to say that you will have a problem maxing out the Accell 48's. At the least, if you are maxing them out, you need other upgrades before the injectors (like a gearset!)

wow 40below....great numbers. What type of mods are you running?
3.2L, 9:1 pistons, Stage II cams, Extrude Hone, BBB's, Vortech S-trim @ 11psi, 80mm MarkVIII MAF, 36lb injectors, LPM, 3" exhaust etc.

Got the tweecer, 90mm lightning; now I need bigger injectors and later some charge cooling and a smaller pulley

Keep the thread updated if you find out anymore info on bigger injectors :thumb:

It looks like Toolman just gave me all the info i needed.

your mod list looks real similar to what I'm hoping to do myself. I was planning on sticking with stage 1 cams and a stock 3.2L block though.
