Use a screw driver in one of the rear doors. You can unlock the door in about 5 seconds if you search around in one of the holes under the door handle.

For the keyless entry code, there should be a sticker on the inside of your trunk that should have the code.

got KEYLESS?

There's a way you can slip a small flat head screwdriver under the rear door handle and push the locking mechanism up to unlock the door.

Edit: Jason beat me to it, and that's what I remember him posting and another member telling me it worked on his SHO. Anyhow, I couldn't get it to work on mine!

where exactly is this code? i never knew my code either. i looked at all the spots the manual said it was, but of course non of them were on my car still. i saw that black box, but no code on it. is it like a sticker or what? im guessing it was a sticker that came off. so what can i do now to find out the code?

i don't really have the answer, but i did read a posting either here or shotimes where someone opened up the black box, and counted the resistors or jumpers or something to figure out the code... i think i was searching 'keyless entry' or something....

---more info on finding factory code... http://webpages.cwia.com/~bdklein/sho.htm

ps. i'm still locked out if anybody has more suggestions on the slim jim/screwdriver idea. anybody got diagram of door interior from a taurus repair book?

anyone you know have AAA/CAA/any auto club?? lol

pry bar with rag, gently pry on the far top corner of one of the rear doors. have a coat hanger and pliers handy. bend the end in a round hook just tight enough to catch and stay onto the lock **** on the inside. have fun bending the hanger a bit to get it where you want it, and up up and away.

As I just replaced my door locks I can tell you to start by having a seat facing the door. Option #1 - Now like someone already said you can lift up on the handle on the front door and go through the reward slot with a small screwdriver pushing it upward (mini maglight seems to help). Option #2 - envision the lock rod (pop up) as it goes down towards the latch. Thats where you have to aim. You might have to bend the end a little to fine tune the hook. Keep your eyes peeled on the pop up as you poke around when you feel it catch and the pop up moves you should give a good pull and it'll pop. You're going to be down by the latch, at an angle also. Its not an exact science but hopefully this'll help some. I've done it this way on Mustangs, F series, 'Birds, Mark VII's and the latch system Ford uses in this era cars is all about the same. Are you using a good slim jim? Some of the best I've used (and still have ) are made of steel strapping/banding material. That way I can cut the end/length how I want it. HTH

If you look in your trunk straight back on the left of center you'll see a small black rectangular box about 6-8" long by about 3" or so wide. (something like that) any ways on the front of the box you'll see a little white sticker about 3/4" long by 1/4" wide with 5 numbers on it. That is your code. I went to the junkyard today and I looked in some standard Taruses and the keyless entries had the sticker.
Good luck

This happened to me, except I don't have keyless entry. In my SHO, like a lot of others I have seen, the driver's door kinda sticks out more than the rest. I took a long metal pole (thin, but not too thin) pull on the top of the door gently, and go in from the top of the door. Push it down until you reach the unlock button and push it! It worked for me with no bad effects on the weather stripping.

Get a long thing flat blade screwdriver. The longer the better.

Pull up on the rear door handle. Insert the screw driver into the rear slot under the handle. Point it up at a 45 degree angle towards the back of the car. Feel around gently with the screw driver. Once you find the lock mechanism, push it upwards (I think-maybe it's down)

It's been awhile since I've done it but it works; I've done it on many Taurii/Sable and could do it in seconds back in my time.

..and now that last statement has you wondering, doesn't it? ;)

As far as the lock code goes, there is no little black box in my trunk ( Except the amps and stuff on the seat-back, I have a 93 MTX), not sure if these boxes are just on the Gen. 1's? My sticker is actually on the bottom of the trunk lid, on the right.

Yawll are crazy, call a locksmith

That's straight wasting money. It takes all of 5 seconds to unlock the back door with a screwdriver.

That'll work on most Fords with electric locks. A lot of tow truck drivers do it that way, in fact.

First off I have lived all over the country because my father was in the navy and yes I did live far enough south that I can say it.

I am a locksmith and I see what people do to their car trying to get in with a coat hanger. After I unlock a car there is no evidence I was ever there. the going rate in your area is about $35-45 last time I checked.

Or AAA membership, it will pay for itself.

They use an air wedge to spread the door, alot easier on the paint.
