Does anyone have any online leads? Or local sources that would carry 1986-1995 Taurus Police Strut Mounts? Would a Ford dealer carry these or were Police mounts aftermarket mounts based off the stock ones?

I wouldn't usually post about this but I need to have them ASAP by May 10th.

I think that MidWestsho still has them up on there site. If they don't, which i'm almost positive they do, I was there last night. Anyways, your Ford dealer should be able to get them but prolly for a bit more $.

Doug, the mounts went obsolete a few months ago though I'm sure a few dealers might have them in stock.

Edien, I have a set here and I wish I could help you but they're going on my car. If I could be assured that I could get another set I'd send you mine but the outlook is grim I'm afraid. :frown:

Biz, I know the mounts were discontinued. I started getting parts for my suspension upgrade in January. I purchased the front police bushings in Jan, and today I purchased the rear police bushings, both from my friendly Ford Stealer. My point was just that they are still available and out there. The warehouse my dealer gets them from says they have plenty (because I inquired to there availabilty) and they are always get to my dealer the next day.

they are obsolete, but there are some still kicking around...

IMHO, the police mounts aren't worth it, based on price, and the fact they are thicker. stiffer, sure, but is this a place where ridgidity is key? to me, no...

I bought ford mounts, but got a great deal on them from my local ford parts desk. If I could, I would have gotten moog.

IMO moog is the way to go but you guys need to be careful if you want or need moog stuff cause a couple of months ago there was a fire in either a stock supply warehouse or a manufacturing plant on the east coast that is reaking havoc on availability on even the most common moog stuff...and now i can start to see it trickle down to our level...so i would say grab as much as you can in moog but if not motorcraft is always an option..plus beleive it or not ac delco has a very good line of suspension stuff and the price is pretty reasonable too

I just picked up a front/rear set for my SHO from MidwestSHO.

Soon i'll see what front TPR's, new metal endlinks, swaybar bushings, AL SFB, Anonda SFC's, poly rear strut rod bushings, SS front/rear springs, tokico's, 4 Police strut mounts, and SS 29mm RSB with HD endlinks/bushings will ride/handle :D .

Only reason I am going through the trouble of using/finding Police strut mounts is because I killed recently new front stock Motorcraft mounts/bearings in a matter of months with my crappy harsh ride with SS springs and already dead KYB's.
