HELP FAST E-BRAKE

Hey, help if you cani have to be in work in like an hour and went out to get some thing this moring and put my e-brake on and now it is stuck on! I have an 89 sho any help would be great!! shrug

Get a large flat head screw driver. Look under the car at the rear calipers and locate where the e-brake cable feeds through, there is a lever there. Pry the lever towards you with the screw driver and that should give you some slack at the caliper. Now, if the inside portion of the cable is stuck (in the car), you can pull the release handle and try to lift up on the pedal with your foot. If your cables are sticky, you can try lubricating them, but I personally would replace them. Hope this helps a bit.

Hey i just got done talking to my dad and he told me how to fix it, i was going to write in how i fixed it but.....beth did it the same way my dad told me to! Thanks

Good deal! thumbs_u Glad you got it fixed.

Now that you've bought yourself some time, get the source of the problem fixed so you don't mess up your rotors and/or calipers.
