Have 94 SHO with 91000 miles. It has developed a top end knock or popping sound coming from the back cyclinder head. At first I thought it was lifter, but it is too loud to be lifter and I have found out that these engines have cam followers not lifters.
The sound is coming from the passanger side of the rear head. If I put my hand in the area of the noise I can feel a burst of warm air everytime it knocks.
Has anyone experienced this type of sound or problem. I do not have the time to tear down the top end to find the problem myself, so I must pay someone to repair.
I have found reman heads for 500.00 a piece, cam followers for 15.00 a piece, but do not know which dirrection to go from here.

Thanks for any help you can give.
