RESCUE SHO
This is not for my car but my boy Sal. He has a 1993 MTX 3.0 stock engine.
Here is how it went.
He was experiencing a occasional miss at first. He is a young kid so the problem did not get the attention it should have. (he kept driving the car)
When you turn on the key to the start position the tack goes too 500 and stays there. when you crank the car it drops to zero.
We thought that it was the crank sensor. Car died and would no longer start.
The crank sensor was changed for a NEW one. (no help) Cam sensors were next, once again replaced with new ones. (no help) Coil pack was swapped with a known good one. Same thing crank crank no start. changed the DIS with two other good working ones. no start. Computer was changed with a working good one same thing.
We checked the grounds and re grounded in two spots. Pulled the plugs , look good. omed the plug wires there good.
Andrew pulled the codes. No help, the Battery had died and was dead for a wile. noting useful there.
Im at a loss. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Ill have Andrew post anything that i may have missed or any corrections to the symptoms that i have described above.
