HELP! Cam Welding in HOUSTON

Goodness! I am new to this forum (Hello) and my eyes hurt from searching for someone who can do the cam weld in HOUSTON. I have searched this forum as well as several other SHO sites. Is there anyone out there who is experienced and qualified in HOUSTON, TX??? I appreciate any information you can give and my SHO thanks you.

Have you tried the v8SHO mailing list? Most of the v8SHO folks use the email list to get info. You can link up to subscribe off of the v8sho.com website. Also most of the SHO folks on the fordbastards board are Texans.

Well, Luigisho and Sassafras....those fordbastard guys are a pretty nasty bunch. I'm no prude, but the stuff on their message board is pretty disgusting as far as I'm concerned. Won't look there again. I'll take my SHO all the way to Atlanta before I let those guys work on it. Thanks.

Sorry you didn't find what you were looking for on those sites. If you subscribe to the email list linked to the v8sho.com website it will put you in contact with v8sho owners from around the country. They are usually a little older group and would be more than happy to help. Also if you check out http://www.nesho.com/ that's Kirk and Chris that was mentioned in the other post. I think Kirk is pretty much known and respected as the best one to do the cams. They are making a road trip to the Atlanta area in a few weeks if you want to hook up with them. Info is on their website.

If you email Kirk and Chris keep in mind that they're currently at the convention in Memphis so it may take a little while for them to answer back. I know they have internet at the hotel but they may not have webmail set up.

Kirk and Chris were in Houston a couple of months ago (April). They had a real tough time getting cars signed up. I was lucky that they still came down with only two cars here.

I can't speak for them but I really think that there will need to be several cars interested before they come down. I could be wrong though...........

I'm afraid you are right, Roy. All the SHOs seem to be up north for some strange reason. I never see one on the streets here. That really bums me out...(insert sad face here). I wish I had known about this cam problem a couple of months ago. I would surely have let Kirk do the weld then. I feel like I'm about to scream. My SHO has 85K on the clock and I am freaking out. I was thinking of taking a trip to Birmingham to visit my son, take the SHO over to Doug at FPS which is only a couple of hours from there and pray that nothing happens on the road. In the meantime, I'll keep on looking and I've already emailed Kirk to ask him if they are returning to Houston any time soon. I haven't heard from him yet but I know he's busy at the Convention. I heard back from Chris yesterday via email. They are planning a trip to H town in February or March. Seems they've been receiving quite a few requests from Texas SHO owners in this area. Yea!!

Hi Estella, you the second person from Houston in two weeks, I think Ill start working on getting something together for you guys down there. do two things for me. send a email of interest to [email protected] and if you want any personal correspondence from me send it to [email protected].

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you as I was at the convention last week and this week I was closed for some much needed remodeling. The mailboxes at NESHO are also in a bit of disarray, that too will be undergoing some surgery to correct that this week.

NESHO is normally closed for the month of JULY to, clean up, remodel, and just simply look back at the previous year to see where it went.

fordbastards is nothing more that a bunch of guys sitting in a garage drinking beer and talking cars.

Get Kirk to do your cam weld. I've watched him work and its quality work.
