Well i bought a 93 atx, white with white slicers. It was a great ride for the first couple weeks, then it started to shift hard into second gear. Well i had been reading on here about the tss and was thinking of replacing it, untill onw day it wouldn't go into second at all.
The sho will run up to its normal redline in 1st gear then shif out and just get lost, almost like its in neutral. I did end up going down a hill and gaining enough speed to catch 3rd and then 4th just fine but i don't know whats up with it. I have a feeling its going to need a rebuild and for only having it two weeks and being the first one i've ever driven or ridden in i am very attached to it.
I have called around to some of the local shops in the St. Paul Minneapolis area and they are all saying about 2600 for the rebuild. One told me he would through in a transgo shift lit for me. Then he said if i could bring just the tranny in he would charge me about 1200 tops. But i have no idea where to start. Not that advanced of a mechanic, if at all.
If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE HELP.

I think you're close enough to Performance Plus in Wisconsin that it would be best to take it there. He'll make it bullit proof for about the same price you'll find a hole-in-the-wall transmission shop will do it for. I've heard nothing but good things about them. :thumb:

go to performanceplus.com my friend, you will find all info. needed there, and if you have a garage w/tools and jacks, and a winch or an engine hoist, im sure you could take the trans. out yourself, alot of work involved though!!!!....good luck :thumb: and enjoy your new SHO!!!!!!!!!
