Hello everyone. I have a 98' SHO that i picked up at the dealership where i work. the car was abandon by its owner after having a ?5,000 head repair. so i jumped on the opportunity to pay the bill and get the title. 75,000 miles, in like new shape, runs great. However, im concerned about the two cams in the other head. at my current mileage, should i be conerned about potential cam failure.

Welcome aboard, first thing you need to do is get all cams welded. Check out www.v8sho.com for all the info you need. Or try the search function here.

Yes and you need to start looking who is going to weld the cams of your car a.s.a.p. After that you'll have a piece of mind. The closes place that I know that can do the cam weld is located in Utah, or if you get in touch with the colorado sho club, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Hopefully you can get it fix without traveling, but if you have to travel is not that bad (16hr drive). When I got mine fixed I had to drive 20+hrs each way to atend a camfest on Peoria IL. If you need help I usually go to Utah so let me know.
