Thankyou all for the warm welcome, my Project is a 2000 Mercury Cougar which currently has a 2.5L V6, I would love to go down the route of dropping a SHO V8 in as my power plant but as they are becoming less and less available the 3L engine could be a option. Having recently moved house funds have dried up at the moment so I am researching whilst saving, on a side project as my Girlfriend also has a Cougar I am looking at improving the air intake to create more power. Would anyone have a photo of the underside of the UIM from a 3Litre V6 or know if it will mate to 2.5L heads?

The Contour SVT guys have been swapping in 3 liter Duratechs for years now. You should join Contour.Org and start reading up on what it takes. From what I understand the 3.0 is pretty much a direct swap for the 2.5
