Hi everyone!!
This is my first post here, although I've been reading everything the past few weeks.
I've learned quite a bit. I'm learning a lot about cars lately, and hope to make use of the info.
I bought a black '99 SHO, under 30K miles a few weeks ago. I had upgraded from a '98 SE w/ the 24V Duratec. I loved that car, but I wanted something with less miles since it was getting up there. I've put a K+N filter in there. Noticed a small increase in power, and slightly different tone in the engine.
I've checked out your posts about Superchips, and seen more negative than positive. However, being a user of one in my '98 for about a year and a half, I'll tell you that it made night and day difference. I can't say whether or not it'll do the same for the SHO, but I want to give it a try. There's a guy who will reprogram my module to my '99s computer (calibration AZD0) for $50, and I think it's worth a shot.
My question is- What's the best way TO the computer?? Through the engine compartment still? It's a bit more cramped in the SHO compartment than my '98 SE. It was a pain to put it in there. Anyone have any ideas on how to make installation easier?? Any input's appreciated.
Sorry this is such a long post, I'll try not to do it again!!
Thanks in advance!!
Nick
