Actually, "HEGO2" refers generically to a "Heated Exhaust Gas O2 (Oxygen)" sensor, not a specific sensor.

It is usually further refined to specify Left or Right, Front or Rear, or Bank 1 or Bank 2. "HEGO2-1" or "HEGO2-R" for example.

Newer nomenclature will use the abbreviation "HO2S" with one or two numbers added on. Single numbers (1 or 2) indicate bank, dual numbers (11, 12, 21, 22) indicate Bank and Sensor (usually 1 is "upstream", 2 is "downstream)" The dual number suffix does not apply to V6 SHO's but I figured I'd include it.

What code exactly are you trying to remedy?

FWIW Bank 1 is usually where the #1 cylinder is. Bank 2 would of course be the opposite side.
