I have to replace the heater core on my 1992 SHO (w/ AC) and heave been searching for info.

From what I have read the Advance auto core fits but autozone, orielly and napa's all do not fit. I also assume the OEM motorcraft one fits.

Please share your personal experience with me. I would also like to know who has the best price on them.

I have also read abotu the actuator door. Is this something I should go ahead and replace while I have the dash apart as preventative maintainence?

Thanks for the help!

i highly recommend modine brand rads and heater cores . they are excellent quality and ive never installed one in any car i worked on that wasnt an exact fit. this is my opinion, ive worked at a rad shop for years. any radiator shop around you should be able to get you one the same day.

We have a local club member that does heater cores, dashboards, airbags, etc for a living. In talking with him, he will only recommend a factory Ford heater core. He has tried the different aftermarkets, and seen poor results. I am sure one of the aftermarket cores is the same as the Ford, but, unless you are 100% sure, I would just go for the Ford unit. It is probably the only part they have not obsoleted for out car.

I have no idea the brand, but I'll check on it. It fit like a glove.
