I was wondering if there is a local auto parts store where I could pick up a headlight replacement, my front left one is out. I know you can purchase them off of ebay, but I can't wait for it to ship, does anyone know of a store like napa or advance auto parts will have them? I looked at some at advance auto parts, can anyone tell me what kind it is or a part # maybe?? Thanks for any advice.

The bulb is out? or the headlight is broken or something? Why don't you just replace the bulb? Maybe I'm missing something, not trying to be an a$$ or anything.

Yea sorry, I meant to say the bulb is out, the headlights are fogged and yellowed, but I'm not to concerned about that, just the bulb is out. I'm not sure which one to get, they have all different sizes and what not.

Funny that you say that.... I was just at walmart, found silverstar bulb, had them install and well, the new one is yellow. I looked on the back of the box and it is suppost to be white. My passenger side one is still white but the new silverstar one is yellow. I'm a little confused here, I asked the guy if he was sure he installed it correctly because its yellow and not white, and he said hes positive. He also said that the old bulb was exploded when he went to replace it. Could this be the reason for it to be yellow or is it just because its a defect light?

You can fix the the yellowed headlights with a little TLC. Some wetsanding with two or three different grit sand paper (I did 500, 800, and 1500). Then used Meguiars PlastX to polish it up when I was finished. Turned out great. Should last a couple years I'd think. Cheap fix which will really help. Took me about four hours to do both headlights and foglights. Probably get better results if I took more time. Big improvement regardless.

Depending on the quality i guess , theres some whiter then others.

Make sure its not your yellowish plastic making you think its the bulb thats yellow.

If your budget permits it , buy another one , replace the other not changed bulb , see if both are the same now?

Part as a defect ? , i doupt it , a bulb works - or not.

I guess its because moisture in the headlight drips on the bulb and it explodes, that's what the guy told me at least. Would wiping those puppy's and sanding em' down fix the problem?

Just in case anyone was wondering.... there was a nice crack on the plastic casing where you would insert the bulb.... put some sealer over it, problem solved.

The yellow Silverstar may have been due to low voltage. This may be because of a bad connector or bad ground.
