This is a general information post for those who need it now or in the future. Everyone has seen those headlights from 1A Auto on e-bay I'm sure. I ordered the Sable headlight ($75) and switched the fishtank. These headlights are a bargain, however let me give you some info before you buy from them.

These units are reproductions and, as the price reflects, are cheaper in their construction and materials. They look fine, however the housings are made from much softer plastic than the OEM units. This isn't a huge problem, unless you happen to bump into something, they will disintegrate at that point. The softer plastic mounting hardware makes aiming them more difficult too (along with optics-see below).

Also, the optical properties of these units are not exactly up to par compared to OEM. The OEM headlights have a broadcast pattern that fades as the distance increases. The 1A headlights terminate the light at a noticable distance, instead of fading.

I think replacing both units with them might make the light pattern more acceptable. Just thought I would give everyone the heads-up on these. Not really bad for the price, but you do get what you paid for.

Go here and look for the Sable lamps. Insist on the TYE brand. They are Toyota's OEM supplier and make excellent optics.
