Help....

I had an accident today and destroyed the drivers side headlight/corner and fishtank......

It broke the entire plastic bracket behind it.....

Is this a one piece part....or does anyone have the PN's??

(Oh yea...my hood is smushed too....dammit)

It's called the "header panel" and it runs the length of the front end... I did the same thing but only broke my header panel.. I ended up putting most of it together again with JB Kwik (JB Weld that sets in 15 minutes).

It's not perfect and one corner needs to be redone but it saved me $75 for a used one and only cost $5 for the epoxy.

You can get replacement used parts at www.alfitz.com. He's got at least one of just about everything... I asked him for a header panel before and he quoted me $75 plus shipping for a used one.

yipes! lotsa damage eh?

FYI;
the 92-94 SHOs used the mercury Sable headlights and corner markers. The header panel is unique to SHO but I'm guessing that one from a sable would work if you modified it.

The hood is actually a sable hood with SHO bracing. You could use a Sable hood if you don't mind converting it to a prop rod as the Sable hood struts are in the wrong location.

The fish-tank is unique to SHO though.

The fender is a Sable fender but you need to be careful of the year though. Sometime in the production years, the fender on sables changed to a style that eliminated the reveal line in the body. the SHO has the body line for all years.

You sure about that Steevil? The ONLY reason I ask is that the question of sable hoods fitting a SHO has conflicting answers. Some say yes, but others no, as it wont clear the intake.

it clears the intake. The problem is with the hood struts.

even if it was an issue, I would merely cut out the portion of hood bracing that is contacting.

even with the correct hood, If your engine mount is toast, the intake will hit the hood.

I found out the hard way after noticing a shiny spot on my intake.

I tried the 92+ sable hood on my 89 SHO and it cleared no problem (albeit too long).

This stems from a little experiment with making a ram air hood. I didn't want to butcher my factory hood so I tried the hood from my wifes 93 mercury sable. The hood fit in the rear but was about 3" too long in the center. the corners fit nicely though.
