I notice that the 2011 SHO adds HD radio to to the SYNC/radio system from the 2010.

Does anyone know if a 2010 can be retrofitted with the 2011 radio including HD?

Well, you can update Sync via a USB thumbdrive....but HD radio requires a different antenna, so not sure what us 2010s can do.

Ah, thanks for that. So as far as I can tell: Unless you are a serious audiophile, you aren't going to notice the quality of the sound. But the claim of no station dropoff and no static is nice (I assume the radio station has to be broadcasting in that HD standard). Not something I would pay extra for, but a nice feature for a car regardless.

I live in the NY-Metro area, so we actually have a ton of HD radio stations, it would give me more choices for music....

I had a pioneer in my Marauder and then had the installer add the HD box to it a year later.

Night and day difference like regualr tv to HD.

Actually as nice or nicer than a CD sounds.

If I can add one to my 2010 SHO I will get it.

Yes, it can be retrofitted to the '10 models. If I remember correctly all that is needed is the tuner module that is in the dash behind the radio faceplate. The center console and faceplate or nav screen need to be removed to access it. I have seen the whole process done on a few '10 Taurus models earlier this year.
