Well after three weeks of not having my SHO and of stressing about what I wanted to do between rebuild, used tranny, or MTX swap. As many know, I went the route of rebuild after the used tranny I bought was also going to need a rebuild as well. It ended up costing me just short of $3,000cdn for everything including the transgo lubrication kit.

Well I can definetly say that my shifts are now lightning quick, I have no more bogging or shuttering when the car downshifts at low speeds and it is clicking off nice clean fast shifts at 7,200rpm every time. I think Ted's LPM and the Transgo are complimenting each other quite nicely.

Anyway, some asked to know how it went so now you know. The car is great...but I'm not sure if it's $3,000 better....

Congrats, Brett!

My '93 ATX is also working like a champ. I still need the D4U1 and Ted's LPM, but otherwise I am happy.

My transmission guy told me to take it easy for about 400 miles, then return after 1000 miles for a checkup. What advice did you get?

I just got mine back 5 hrs ago with a rebuilt tranny with the Trans-go and I love it. A lot better than what I was putting up with before the rebuild. My tranny guy said it doesn't need a break in, but I'm not gonna give it a WOT run intill I go about 500 miles just to be safe, because I need this tranny to last. By the way I want a Ted B LPM, how do I get a hold of him to get it. Thanx,
Doug

Well thanks guys. The only advice I got was to bring it back in after 10 days for them to test drive and check out to make sure everything is still fine (I think they just want to drive my car again thumb )

I guess I maybe should have babied it for the first bit, but I was so happy to have it back after three weeks of being SHOless and driving an Accent, that I had to hear those secondaries sing!

$3,000 cdn is about $2,000US or so...so I didn't get a great price but I don't think I was ripped off either. It is good to have her back in the garage again...next up a bigger tranny cooler to ensure this doesn't happen again!!!

I really think that if you want a nice sound for a really good price, you can't go wrong with the Summmit Turbos. I have had them on my car for almost two years now and they just keep on sounding better and better. They are not very loud at idle and low speeds...just have a nice rumble. But when you open it up and the secondaries open...she absolutely screams! I would recommend them!

Where did you get your hands on them?
Doug
Exactly what AutoSHO said. Part # SUM-630222 They are 2 1/4 inch offset inlet/outlet turbo mufflers...$14.75 each. Anything else, let me know.
