I have been really stressed for time lately, so I ended up taking my 91 into Meineke to have the halfshafts replaced yesterday. My question is, how do I know that they replaced them with SHO halfshafts and not ones for a SLO? Is there any way to look and tell, or will they just not fit at all? I am freaking out a little bit because the receipt doesn't denote the engine size or that it is even an SHO. That and the fact that they were able to get the parts so quick - not an easy task here in Alaska. Any help would be appriciated!!!

Thanks! I know it seemed ********, but I have had too mechanics over the years try to tell me my car had a timing chain, so I was really worried.

Well, your car does have a timing chain, two in fact. The exhaust cams are timed by linking them to the intake cams by way of a chain. They're underneath those bumps in the valve covers on your engine. Your car also has a timing belt that links the intake cams to the crank.

Yeah, my bad. I meant that they were trying to tell me that I didn't have a timing belt. They confused it with the SLO's. :)

SHO cv shafts are specific to the tranny you have. No SLO shaft will do.
