They were discontinued, IIRC.

From my 1st SHO, my '93 MTX (not to be confused with Jezebel):

Oh, and I have a set, unused, in box, along with Lund Gen 2 Taillight blackouts, if interested.

Welcome Alex!

That's great news. For the longest time you couldn't get them, and there was talk GTS went out of business even. I'm glad they're still available.

I picked up the set I have as an investment off eBay based on that. Oh well. :)

Maybe I'll have them painted Moonlight Blue to match the 95 & do the tuner-taillight look instead.

I can't honestly confirm nor deny GTS's current existance. I ordered the covers through Parts Source (up here in Canada). They told me that they get them directly from GTS's warehouse, but they also told me that they don't make thermostat gaskets for the SHO

Just go with LUND - mine are darker than GTS anyway - IMO

:)

Hi,

I bought my front and rear sets at VIP. About $45 for each pair. Trying calling LUND directly, that may help.

Also Try:
http://www.autotruckgear.com/aext/tailblkout.htm

-- That site says they sell LUND for cars and the chart shows that they sell them for the '92 - '95 Taurus ( I assume SHO and not GL, SE etc. )

If this does not help, continue to look on the Net for a retailer.

Hope this helps somewhat. :)

Do any of ya'll have problems with your covers cracking? I know that my brother did on his 98 GT with GTS covers. He cracked 2 sets just taking them off and then gave up.

how did you get the sides of the covers to stay against the body? i'm thinking of putting velcro on there, just want to see some other non-permanent (glue) options.

I used velcro, mostly as a padding. To do again? I'd get a longer screw for the side marker, and drill thru the cover & hold the whole assembly together that way.

your GTS covers don't have the hole drilled in them already? I got a pair for free that were a little scratched up, and they had the hole already for the sidemarker screw. I have never used mine, but I'm going to hold onto them for a little while, I have something in the works that I need them for, after that, I'd be willing to sell them if someone was interested.

From someone that's had both GTS and LUND, the LUND fit way better and are much darker.
