I want to have the black headlight covers, but I don't want to have to take them off at night.
I have the foglamp switch set up so I can turn them on without turning on my headlights. My question is, if I bought this foglamp set up...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2401840440&category=33709

would that be bright enough to drive at night with without having to have ne other lights on?

And if not what kind of foglamps would I need to do it?

Thanks a lot,
josh

foglights are designed for fog. They have a low, wide light dispersal and would not be the hot ticket.

What you need are DRIVING lights. there is a distinct difference in the beam pattern.

Avoid spotlamps as they direct a large amount of light in a small area. Driving lights offer the the best of both worlds.

You can immediately see the difference in the lense. Lateral difraction lines indicatea wide beam dispersal and are therefor fog-lights. A mix of lateral and horizontal difraction lines indicate a driving style lense.

If you check out the sylvania site, you will see that they aso make a auxillary head light..same as your head lights with better specs. Finding them will be the real hassle..have a set on my car..fogs sucked ..drivers to narrow..happy hunting

(they are called xenarc x1010 auxillary low beams, they are HID's)

That's a real bad idea. Why not just hold a neon sign that says "Hey cops, free tickets HERE!"

Take them off at dark. Headlight covers on a smacked up SHO aint cool.

I was thinking of sanding my headlights, getting them all nice and shiny and then getting the clear headlightcovers, and painting the inside of the lens cover (only where the reflector is) black, or green.

What do you guys think?
