good position on temp guage????

just wondering when to get woried....i personally get nervous and turn on the heat when it gets to about R in NORMAL. i usually keep it at the bottom letter or between that and the line...... what do you guys think?????

By definition, anywhere in the NORMAL range is just that, normal. If your gauge is moving farther up the scale than you are accustomed to seeing, you should check fora cause. Have you checked the level recently in the expansion bottle? The radiator? Is there evidence of foaming in the coolant? If you select the AUTO setting on the ECC, does the cooling fan start immediately? Is your thermostat opening fully?

These are some of the possible causes of a higher than normal temperature reading. If you see the temperature gauge acting different than normal, you may want to find out why.

well, this hasn't happened...and when it does it's because i opened up the engine repeatedly. i was just posing a question. but as far as i know coolant and temp are ok thanks
