Is this a full MTX fluid replacement or does it have to be mixed with the Ford ATF fluid while its being changed? I wanted to clear this up so I would know how many quarts of the GM fluid I should buy.

Synchromesh is not an additive, it's an oil specifically designed for manual transmissions. I swithced from Mobil 1 ATF to Synchromesh and I like the results so far.

So there are no different version of the Sychromesh fluid? Just one kind I have to ask for at a GM dealer?

When I went to the dealership, they had 2-3 different kinds. I remember one had friction modifiers. All the oils were out in the display area so I just browsed through them. You want the regular stuff so read the labels. Maybe someone here can chime in with a part number.
