My '95's trunk release lever just barely, sometimes, works. Anyone know where the adjustment is to tighten the cable? Thanks in advance.

as I recall, the adjustment is at the lever end - you take off the handle cover, and I think there is an adjustment nut on the end of the cable housing where it attaches to the release lever.

Finally fixed this. After much trouble trying to take apart the release handle assembly, I simply unbolted the trunk latch assembly, pulled the loose cable out as far as I could, then crimped a quarter inch length of cut aluminum piping onto the cable. Were I a fisherman, I could have crimped lead weights.

Also, I found that even after lubrication my trunk no longer popped up when released. There's are two rods forward of the trunk lid, with adjustment slots (3) at their ends. I used a piece of pipe to move one of the ends to the upper-most position and now the trunk pops up as it should.

Happy.
