gauges not working?

I just noticed that when i turn on the car the tach works then it stops , no speedo either? I turned the car off and then turned it back on and it worked. I did it again and it stopped working again. What's up with this?

I'm guessing you have a gen3 (96-99), right?? gen1 and gen2 speedo's are mechanically driven.

no this is a 93 sho

My tach once in a blue moon does not operate, I think it has to do with the fact that I have to replace my CPS.
