I never realized this till friends got into the car, but everyone has complained of a gas smell, after hearing this I to notices it, even when the car is shut off it smells. Yes I ran the car and looked for fuel line leaks and didnt find any. I did search around and found on SHO times, that people say that a gas-fume purge valve gets stuck open or its a bad charcoal canister. I was just wondering if anyone has incountered this problem, or any helpfull advice. I have to put a thermostat in the car this weekend so I'm going to check the above listed items and go from their????

Check the canister and replace it. Very simple to do and a very common problem.

When I had this on my red 94, I just rewired something on the charcoal canister to keep it venting all the time. I think there is an article on shotimes about how to do it, iirc.

There is a tee that gets full of wax and get clogged. This is after the hose on the TB and going to the canister in front.
