Stumbled upon an auction on eBay through discount tire direct for the hard to find Eibach Pro kit for the SHO. They have 10 sets left (well 9 now that a set is on its way to me). A general eBay search for "Taurus SHO eibach" should bring the listing right to the top.

Admins: I apologize if this is in the wrong section. Figured its a perf mod so this seemed like the logical place.

what are you guys doing with the OEM parts? Can they be removed for reuse? If so , maybe I will buy them. My car is just a sweet commuter and it rides harch enough as is when not on hwy. But I have 81K and should change the shocks next year.

Those are the wrong springs listed above on ebay for a SHO. The correct number is Eibach 35124.140 Pro-Kit Lowering Springs.

According to the compatibility chart they say they fit 2011 SHO...I'll try giving eibach a shout tomorrow and see if they can shed any light on it for me. Will repost what/if anything they have to say.

Soooo I spoke to Eibach tech support and they said:

While part # 35127.140 (the part # in the DTD eBay auction) will "fit" the 2010-12 SHO it is not intended for the SHO models and the car will not ride properly. It is a different spring rate then the 35124.140 which IS the CORRECT part # for the SHO models.

DTD customer service is trying to track down a set of the 35124.140 for me (not holding my breath as they are discontinued) but at least they're working to make it right. Regardless of what they find they are taking the springs back and issuing a full refund and are supposed to make a note on the auction that the springs are not intended for the SHO

Found another auction with the correct part # 35124.140. Listed at $389 + $40 shipping. It has a make an offer option in the auction. I low balled my way up to an offer of $270 which was accepted. For those interested the auction listing # is 271344215962. I ordered a set, I will report back once I receive them to confirm

Waiting anxiously to see if you get them.

Hope you're not holding your breath lol

Sooo the Eibach drama continues...received an email today canceling my order and a full refund because.....you guessed it, the springs are no longer available. I'm getting really tired of updating these companies inventory for them! Apparently none of them have the springs in stock, they all take the orders and ship directly from Eibachs warehouse (who doesn't have any stock) so company X, Y and Z don't know this until I order a set and they go to have them shipped

BUT.......I found a very helpful rep at NOPI (Bobby Evans 1-800-277-6674 Ext 207) who did some digging for me and found out that Eibach has the rear springs only, available for the SHO for $72 each. They make the springs in lots and as a kit is ordered they pull the appropriate springs to make up the kit. The rears are apparently the same as used in other kits so they are still available. My original plan was to buy a set and only install the rears to level off the car, but figured rather then let the fronts go to waste I might as well install them.

Longer story short, I ordered a pair of rear springs and they WILL FOR SURE be here next week!!

Interesting. I really only want to lower the rear also but was worried it would mess up the handling of the car.
Yes, that is my Cobra in my sig & that was in 5.0 Magazine a few years back. I still have it, but it has been sitting dormant for a few years. I am trying to decide what to do with it. Either a 5.0L Coyote swap or turbo kit....unsure which. For now, the SHO is my toy / daily ride.
