I've got the retaining bolts out and I can wiggle it but it's not coming out. I don't want to bend or break anything so can somebody tell me the best place to grab it, safely lodge a screwdriver under it, whatever, to get it loose?

I only took off the front runners. I know I'd have more room to work with if I removed the other runners and surge tank but I really don't want to do that if I don't have to.

thanks,

Scott

If you have (I know, but it's how I do it) two small curved prybars, you can use them to gently push up on the rail equally. Put something on top of the front of the lower intake to protect it from getting dinged by the prybars -- I use little wood shims.

Otherwise, if you just keep rocking it forward and backward while pulling upwards it will eventually come free. You can also help it along by turning each of the injectors back and forth and try to move them up and down to help break the bonds of the o-rings which is what is keeping everything stuck together.

Thanks - I called my Dad and had him stop over after he got off of work. 4 hands gently pulling up on it got it out. :)

edit:

After close examination of the injectors, one of them has a small notch
missing from the plastic piece that apparently is there to hold the bottom
O-ring on. It is still attached very securely - is this going to be a problem? If
there's a danger of it coming apart and getting sucked into the cylinder I
don't want to put it back in. I'll just have to find a ride to work for a couple
of days until I can get another one.

Can I soak the 7 old ones (have 1 reman) in Berrymans B12 for a bit?
