I am posting this from my iPhone. I am stranded at the moment (Still love my car tho) but at any rate. My fuel pump seems like it is not purging or even turning on at the moment. If this is the relay is there any way to bypass this just to get this thing started to get home. I am only about 20 miles away from home so its not too terrible. But nonetheless I am still stranded...

Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

Try this to see if you can get it to come on....

You can force the fuel pump on by shorting a pin to ground with the key on. If it does not come on then there is a wiring problem between the CCRM and the fuel pump. Could also be the roll over switch.

I am assuming thats the switch with the red cap on it? What should I do with this? And that diagram that was posted above, where is this connector at?

Press the button, wiggle the wires, tap on it, etc.... Cycle the key. If nothing, then try the jumper on the EEC connector. Passenger side firewall, next to strut tower.

yes the one with the red cap, try to press it down then try to start it. the connector above is located on the passenger side front strut mount, there will also be another connector with it it a black cap to protect the pins

No dice... touched it to the engine, to the body, and no noise from the fuel pump... any other thoughts... It was running fine when I shut it off lol. No bucking, no stalling, no problems starting...

Did you check the inertia switch in the trunk? Red button should be in the depressed position to run. If you can't hear the pump prime when you turn the key to the start position without engaging the starter then you have to poke around to see if it's a bad relay [CCRM] or bad pump or sending unit, or ground...tough to do stuck on the side of the road

I am going to try and get a picture of this inertia switch and you tell me what you think... I believe mine is pressed in. If that is the case, how do you depress it?

Ya that looks down (correct). If you're stranded and you've got a hole in your floor for fuel pump access, you can rip off a piece of speaker wire from inside the trunk and use it to jump the fuel pump connector to say...a back-up light bulb. If the light comes on with the key, the pump is getting power and you need a new pump, I'd guess.

I do not sir... this blows haha... Literally just quit working with one shut off of the key... FML. No signs or symptoms of it failing. No bucking, stalling, lagging, hard starting... none of that stuff... WTF!

A visual inspection of the inertia switch rarely does it for me. Push down (hard) and wiggle your finger. Then try again.

You can also trip that inertia switch and reset it to be sure it's set. Pound on that panel and the switch will pop...push it back down firmly. Try it both with the key off and the key on.

You can also tap the CCRM. Give it a good smack with an open palm or tap it with a baseball bat or tire iron or something.

Alright guys... i put a paper clip in the EEC self test plug in the FUEL PUMP pin. Got the car started... Now that being said what does this mean?

The ground from earlier wasnt a good one... had some sand paper in my car and sanded a little spot nice and clean and it started right up no hesitation or anything... nice idle, all normal when revved I it.
