Ive been trouble shooting some hard-starts, bad gas mileage, and driveability issues lately.

No codes.

02 sensors are relativly new (less than 10K miles)
IAB was torn apart, cleaned and lubed, but it still seems to be sticking.
Fuel pump was replaced this weekend, and Id just like to confirm fuel pressure numbers to be normal.

IGNITION ON- jump to 40PSI then drops to 35PSI

START UP- 38PSI

IDLE- 28PSI

Throttle "BLIPS"- 38PSI

SHUT OFF- 28PSI

Hard starting, bad mileage, driveabililty.....have you replaced the ECT sensor? If it is bad, or going bad, the computer will "guess" as to the coolant temperature. That would give you all the symptoms you have. Not a definite, but a possibility.

Ah yes, ETC was replaced a few weeks ago ;)
And has been working just fine. Cooling fans come on as they should when temps rise.

Those fuel pressure numbers are right on the money.

What driveability issues are you having?

You can only access the air flow portion of the IAB valve. If the valve is still sticking or malfunctioning, than the problem may be in the electrical servo portion. That part is not serviceable. Maybe it's time for a new IAB valve?

Well, all driveability issues have seem to have been resolved. It simply wasnt running smooth as rpms between 2-3k. I think the fuel pump solved that. As well as replaced a WHOLE LOT of power that I didnt know I was missing :nut: This thing runs great now.

The idle still has issues, and Im not sure if it is the IAB now or not. It is very random, but seems to happen more often after being driven a bit hard. Ill come to a stop light/sign and the idle will "hang" a bit high. It seems to hang at the same RPM every time too. Just about 1200 rpm. As said though, it is very random. Probably 9 out of 10 times, the idle will return to 850-900 rpm just as it should. The other 1 time, it hangs.

IAB is relatively new (less than 10k), MAF is clean. I hope this isnt some phantom intake leak.

I havnt been able to check gas mileage yet, since changing the fuel pump. Ive got just 85 miles on it since he change.
