Fuel Latch broken

My fuel latch is broken on the inside of my fuel door. Is there an easy fix of replacing it? I did a search and it seems that people were buying the latch from ford and easily fixing it. Does that still hold true? And how can I get to the wire that connects to that fuel door to see if its ok?

You can buy the clips cheap for like 2-5 bucks. Check your local parts house, or pick one up at the junkyard for most likely nothing.

Rockauto has them and every Taurus in the junkyard has them...

Very easy. Unbolt the old and replace with the new.
