I am trying to take the fuel injection manifold off of the engine and i cannot figure out how to disconnect the fuel supply line as well as the return line from the manifold. There seems to be some sort of release contraption on the line and i messed with it for a good hour and i could not figure it out... short of cutting the hose. This is making me feel very stupid.

Anyone know how to disconnect the fuel supply lines??

Muchos thankos!

Sure, get the right tools to release the garter springs from the connectors. About $9 for the set at Sears.

fuel line disconnect tools. they also service some ac and trans lines on certain vehicles. most parts stores will carry them as well.

If you don't need to replace the rails, you can just take the rails off w/ injectors and swing them over to the side.

And if you need to remove the rails entirely, you dont even have to disconnect those lines. Just unbolt the lines from the fuel rails.
