Fuel in Air Filter

Please help. I have a fuel leak. There is fuel in my air filter. I have no idea where to start or whether its safe to drive. Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Oh sorry, I have a 1995 Sho 3.2 181,000 miles. I have 2 new O2sensors, had a new air filter. Recently replaced plugs and wires.

How much fuel can you see?A puddle or you can just smell fuel?
Any fuel leak can be potentionaly dangerous,an arching ignition wire could easily be enough to ignite fuel vapors,so driving it I would not recommend until the leak is repaired.
If fuel is soaking air filter(I havent ever seen it)but,I would check the Fuel Pressure Regulator.Remove the vacuum hose from it and turn the key on and off a few times.If the diaphram inside the regulator goes bad fuel will come out the vacuum port,get sucked through the intake from vacuum.If this is leaking the oil level is usually over full,oil is very thin,and has a strong fuel oder to it.I haven't ever seen it on a Sho,but have on several other Ford models.Other than looking at that,check the fuel lines,rail,and injectors for sign's of dampness.

I don't see how you're getting fuel on your air filter (is it still a stock setup?) without burning the car up. The air filter is waay far away from any fuel-related equipment.

Could this have something to do with the charcoal canister and lines from the fuel tank?
