If I remember correctly, when I first got my SHO I was doing about 200-300KMs per tank, depending on my style of driving. At that time it was about 40 bucks prem. to fill her, as I added mods if was for sure closer to 200

I'm getting about 500km to a tank of gas after my ATX was rebuilt, before that about 300. With premium gas here in New Brunswick over $1.00/L it's getting nutts.

I'm getting about 375km until the low fuel light comes on, that's mixed city/highway. If I drive until really empty I could see 450km max. The best I ever got was 530km all highway averaging 135km/h but that was before an extensive tuning.

I have to fill my gas tank almost as often as I have to put oil in it, and that's a lot! :D

My Grand Caravan is averaging 15 miles per gallon. Friggin horrible.

I think I'm going to really get a shock when my 4 X 4 Quad Cab Ram with the Hemi comes in next week.
When I went for a test drive, the trip computer on the tester said an average of 6.1 miles per gallon! Yikes!!
I'm sure that had to do with running it on the lot to warm it up in cool weather, standing on the gas pedal at every light to hear the hemi, and generally driving like a mad man. Exactly how I'll be driving it.

Damn Dollar a litre gas.

I get 375-400 in town before the low fuel light comes on, I usually drive another 40-60 KM on top of that before filling, Most I have filled it 62 Litres.

Best I got on the highway was 400 km / half a tank.

Winter is much worst I get 300-350 tops in town.

no clue... mine is driven fairly hard, it see's redline multiple times a day. For coasting at say 60 km/h I use 4th gear, anything over 80 km/h I coast around in 5th. I do not "lug" the engine below 2 grand at all, I prefer to be in the 2500-3000 range.

Check your plug wells lately? What maintenance has been done to the car?

Edit: what fuel are you using? Brand and octane?

I use only Petro Canada mid grade 89 octane. Seems to work the best for me.

I would say that is the style I drive. But since I just got it it sees alittle more redline but crusing about the same.

I use ESSO 91 only. Mostly because I plan to run Nitrous so I need it so I was just sticking with it instead of trying to empty the tank to switch later.

I have 3 plug wells that are pretty bad and 3 that don't leak much at all. I just cleaned them out last week. I was trying to find a supplier for the Fel-pro gaskets and I just got the intake set I hope to get the valve cover set next week to fix that up.

While you are at it do what you can for a 60K service, check valve clearances, change sensors galore, plug well seals, wires, plugs, o2's, check your cats (replace with new one, or put in a straight pipe) (one of mine were broken, the other clogged), clean your maf. This will cost quite a bit if you don't do the work on your own, but after I did this and more I got 500km in town on my first tank! After that the car was just too fun to drive with all the extra power that fuel economy went down for some reason

I would also agree on changing your O2 sensors if they've never been done. They tend to react slower as the mileage increases so swapping them out usually increases fuel mileage, providing there are no other serious issues.

OK, so I'm a hoser, eh!!! :snicker: Sorry, I'm practicing my Canadian for my annual fishing trip "up north". Northern lights, black bears, moose, loons, northern pike, pickeral, lake trout, and if I'm lucky the black flys will be gone. I almost forgot. Cold Molsens ***. (I'm bringing back the legal limit from the duty free shop :dribble: )

I know a guy up there who wants to put a Yamaha 3.0L. in a Skidoo!

sunny San Juan Bautista,
I get a pretty consistant 9.3 km/liter or about 10.75 liters/100 km

How big are your tanks? I usually fill up every 640 kms or so (probably a bit less usually, to save wear on the fuel pump). Usually end up putting around 60 liters into the tank.

400-500km in the city
800+ on the highway
- usually fill with just over 60L, but have put in 68L.

Running with no codes, but with some oil in the plug wells (to be fixed this summer). I just recently took out the cats and have been driving pretty aggressively and have nearly 400kms with 1/4 tank left on this last tank. (13km/L highway, 8 km/L highway).

Dont know if anyone will see this as this thread is dead but here are my results.

832 km round trip. I made it to a gas station in town with little to no gas left. Was able to fill 70 L.

I was very impressed to say the least :****:
