I have a 94' ATX SHO with 200k miles on it (I know, I know). Anyway, I have (since getting the car from my father 20k miles ago) "upgraded" the audio system. I have an AIWA CD-player and I replaced all 4 of the speakers.
And all was good, for a while.
Yesterday I'm driving down the road and I begin to break (rapidly, as I often do) to make a left hand turn (no idea if this is pertient or not) and the front two speakers just cut out. I can get them to come back on for a moment when I first start the car but then they quickly kick off and I only hear the rear speakers.
I've had a similar problem where I wired my front two speakers around the power windows incorrectly and when I rolled down the windows I unplugged the wires, but I wasn't even using the windows that day.
Anyway, is there a fuse or something that controls ONLY the front two speakers? Everything else seems to be working fine... I dunno...
Any help or advice you guys could provide would be appreciated as I AM NOT a "car guy" so anything you could tell me would probably help ;-)
Thanks,
Wes
