My front drivers seat went back when the button was pushed, but now it will not go back forward. Does anyone know what may have gone wrong? Does anyone know if the seat can be opperated manualy. Thanks.

Try pushing it fowArd as you press the switch foward. If it goes back, it should go foward.

The motor is just probably weak.

Happened to me several times in several cars

Seat still not working

I tried pushing the seat while pushing the button but it did not go forward. Anyone else know how to make the seat go forward?? There seems to be alot of rust under the seat on the metal brackets, ect. I would appreciate any advise you all may have. I cant reach the peddels :shakehead

Check the fuse first. But - The rust is prolly your culprit. The tracks are in need of a good cleaning and **** with some lithium grease. Try this and see what happens.

OK, but how do I do this. Do I take the seat out or off the tracks? If so, how do I do that? :omg:

Had the same problem with mine, rust got in the connector, unplug it and try to get it clean.

Like Russ said check to connector, too. You'll need to remove the seat first then the tracks from the seat to clean them and **** them real good. Before doing that if you have the seat out just find out which wires are direct to the motor and manually connect it to power and see if it works now...

it's very easy to remove seat. I actually have a spare drivers seat track with all the switches and motors. pretty simple swap. if your track is rusted or the motors are bad, I can sell you this one. it worked properly when removed. Pete

Becareful if you are going to remove the seats bolts tend to break off on these cars, time and rust helps that! I would check all the connectors under the car and try running a new ground wire to the seat. I had to replace a plug on my 93 sho when I had it because it had gone green. It would work occasionally and then it finally just quit.
