I recently took my 2010 SHO to my local dealer for service; I've noticed a kind of thumping noise and looseness in the front end that seemed to develop sometime after having the front brakes replaced under TSB. The thumping and looseness seems to be worse at 45 mph and above, and worse when making gradual turns.
So the mechanic took my car for a test drive, put it on the lift, and decided that my right front tire had a small "flat spot" in it. So he rotated the tires, putting the "bad" one in the back, and said all is well.
All is not well. Rotating the tires unfortunately had no effect on the noise or looseness, as all of the original symptoms are still there.
So my question is, what else could it be that's causing this? I suggested that maybe one of the bearings needed to be re-packed from when the brakes were recently done, but I am not a mechanic and my suggestion was not entertained. I am nearing the end of the bumper to bumper warranty and would like to get this problem fixed soon, so any advice would be appreciated.
