Are the front coils easy to remove. Can it be done without a coil compressor? And not undoing the sprindles and such? I am going to coil them together to adjust the height and clamp them. I know it isn't recommended but coils are exspensive. A buddy has a very nice '89 SHO and he did it to his and it looks sharp. And he hasn't had any problems with the coils and ride. Thanks for viewing!:thankyou:

coils aren't that expensive. last i checked, right around 250 at tire rack for eibachs. as for squashing them down to compress em, a pair of 500lb ratchet straps are your new best friends.

or you can get the Moog Cargo Coil springs for cheap, check at SHOsource.com they have them.......... cut off two coils from the spring and enjoy the lower, stiffer, and cheaper ride....

you can search on here for some threads that show cars with that setup and how many coils they cut off......

maybe I'll even find it for you

yes you willl have to take everything apart, the strut mount from the strut tower up top, and then from the knuckle at the bottom with the one large pinch bolt...... then that will be the strut assembly, which will have to be compressed to take it apart so you can change components of that assembly... on the fronts you have a mount, a bearing, a spring, and a strut.... I'd replace all of those parts
