Be careful or the door handle will come off in your hand while still being closed! madflame91 SHOplus:
I have a similar problem but it's the whole damn door that freezes up. The locks and handle all work, but the door just won't open.
The cable on mine freezes up. You can't even lift the lever up inside the car. I even broke the pull handle off my emergency release one year trying to get it open. frownRob94:
Is it the cable, or the door itself Beth? I have that happen to me as well, but it is the door frozen shut. Has had nothing to do with the cable. As far as doors and locks frozen, well, that's what remote start is for.15 minutes idling with the heat on high thaws out all the doors, windows, and locks.
Oh he has a keypad I believe his passenger side door won't unlock we know its not frozen. He just can't open it at all. The drivers side door lock is freezing up so that won't open when its cold. Not the key lock but the whole locking mechanism is toast I think.MilTownSHO:
After reading this thread, I'm thankful I have the keypad! thumb hail
