Fr. plate bracket removal yes or no?

WI requires a front lic. plate. Mine came with the bracket on. I don't like it on, so what kind of mess will I have when if I remove it? Obviously 3 holes from rivets or whatever they are. Do you think the paint behind the bracket will be that "off" it will really stand out? Anyone else remove it?

Will have to watch for 5Ohhhhhh more often and have some excuses ready:laugh_ti:

Remove it, it helps with cooling when removed.

To answer the first question, it'll just leave the holes....the bumper is painted under the bracket. I actually think the bracket was dealer installed..

depending on the condition of the rest of your paint, under the plate frame may be newer looking.

when i lived in il i took mine off and there are 3 or 4 holes that will be shown. the paint was a little off not bieng exposed to sun and rocks but when you wax the car it evens out and is not noticable. now that i live in wi too it sucks to have it back on i like the look of it way better with out it.

yup, dealer installed in the states that require it.....

I just yanked mine right off I had 3 rivet type things holding mine on. I managed to break only 1. I used touch-up on the holes. I will need to clay, polish and wax that area.

As far as law enforcement goes, I carry the plate behind the pass. seat.

The dealer didn't install the fr. plate on my Lightning and it will not be installed as long as I own it.
