FPS

Tell me this ain't BS. I ordered a set of SS brakelines for my SHO from FPS and told them that I would need the fitting to be used on calipers for a Mustang Cobra. They told me No Problem. I got the hoses in a few days but they did not come with the Banjo bolts for the caliper. I called them back saying that I needed these parts and they said it was a special part for the Cobra an was $20 a piece. I said whatever I need the damn part. Upon further research I foungd out the Ford dealers seel them for ~$6.75 a piece.

Well I guess since FPS foung out I needed this part they were gonna rape me. The GM dealers sell them for $2.85 each. $40 for 2 parts that cost ~$1.50 a piece. That is BS. I guess I will be sending these back to FPS and won't be doing any more business with them.

First I would like to appologize to the good people at FPS, especially Larry. My origonal post on this subject was made without complete information on which I made improper assumptions, and was also posted while I was upset and angry. Which I should never have done. The post was rather harsh and is unjust.

Someone from FPS must have seen my post and was distraught which is understandable, and well anyone running a business should be. Larry called me personally to ask if there was a problem. We spoke and it was made clear to me that the parts in question were infact purchaced from BEAR by FPS and this was the reason for the price which I thought was inflated that was infact not, just costly to them.

I must say I have purchaced other parts from FPS and I can honestly say they have probably the best service of any aftermarket supplier I have dealt with. They are extremely prompt of delivery and even had Vadim forward parts to me that they were out of stock on. And I will continue to use them as a source for my performance parts.

I agree with all of the others who posted about SHO owners and vendors in another post of this forum. All matters in question should be handled privately first. Noi posts should be made on assumptions or out of anger or durress. That is not fair to all parties involved.

There are a few vendors available for parts for our beloved SHOs. Most of which are very good to deal with and have people that care. It is up to the buyer to beware, shop around and be smart and know what you are getting. Keep in mind that the cheapest place is not always the best.

I was going to say..I've dealt with FPS, on a few occasions, and even BSed with Doug after the shop was closed and on the phone, and occasionally on the net. The have top notch customer service IMO.

I think too many people are jumping the gun saying this place sucks or that place sucks....and yes all these places do have internet.

FPS is fantastic. They are the ones that built my kaoticSHO. On a recent trip down there I got to meet the new guy Larry. He was eager to answer my questions, full of great information and an absolute pleasure to visit with. All in all, money well spent.
